How big you can print from 3MP depends on the dpi you will be using. A 360dpi print will be a lot smaller than a 200dpi print without resampling. There is no definite rule.

While prints made from digital cameras appear grain free & "cleaner", straightly speaking, the traditional high quality prints from film still hold the edge on fine detail and gradation. But the difference might not matter to most consumers. Also, you can keep on enlarging images taken by film, but the same cannot be done on digital camera pictures.

200萬像(1600x1200)=4-6R(5R及6R只係一般)
300萬像(想唔起)=7-8R(8R只係一般)
400萬像(2272x1704)=8R-12R(12R只係一般)
500萬像(想唔起)=12R(12以上只係一般)
差不多所有萬碼相機都一樣
