casio Z4 is a very good point and shot.
I know a lot of people are going to suggest A80. So I will suggest something different.

1. Minolta F200
2. Olympus Mju 400
3 Canon ixus 400

I suggest PENTAX Optio S4.

Picture quality wise, I recommend IXUS400 over S4 or Z4.

If the size is not the big deal, I suggest Kodak DX6490. 4.0M pixels, around HK$3500, unlimited short film recording( depend on yr memory card size). I'm also a new comer and feel that this DC is quite suitable for us(new comer).
