Hello,

Although both are prosumer digital cameras but their performance and quality of pictures are totally different. For me, I prefer 7Hi as the picture quality is very close to film (analog). I doesn't mean G5 not good but the feel is too digital for me. Also the lens of 7Hi is almost perfect at the prosumer level. The depth of field is very outstanding at 200mm while G5 can't do it.

Also, 7Hi has a better handling grip and more camera look like features.

However, 7Hi has its disadvantages including too power consumption and too much noise other than ISO 100.
