小弟見到各住近期都很喜歡拍攝維多利亞港的相,小弟覺得除了各位攝影技巧好之外, 仲有係因為個景好, 大家先可以拍得咁好.

所以小弟覺得dc fever 應該在"作 品 發 表 區"入面加一個專題係讓我們拍攝維多利亞港的人兄,放我們的作品,等其他人可以看維多利亞港美麗的一面.給大家一個信息,保護維多利亞港.

希望各位支持,如果吾係10年後,我們只可以影到維多利亞河.

英國佬填咗50－60年，97年之后政府都沒有計劃繼續填。現在填的，是97年之前英國佬批準的。不要讓現在的老實中國人喫死貓啦。一條港灣，沒有政治因素，永遠美麗。

Think hard abour the title of this discussioin. And let's be rational about the issue.

I have seen many shots of the Victoria harbour taken by locals and overseas photographers alike. Many are breath-taking shots. But if you look closely and ask yourself what make our harbour so unique and beautiful? I bet you will likely agree that it is not just the waterway ( there are tons of other lakes, rivers, seas, harbours in the world that are as beautiful, their waterbody are as beautiful, if not more beautiful than the Victoria harbour). Victoria harbour shines becasue of the combination of natural and man-made beauties. Take away the either element, take away the buildings and the numerous lights, the Victoria harbour will be just a harbour, nothing more. nothing less.

Take a look of old photos taken of the Victoria Harbour a century ago, and you will find the Victoria Harbour is nice, but nothing made it stood out among others like what we have today.... the dazzingly lights and structure, the waterway, the ferries and the traffic....

Please. I don't mean haphazard development is good for us. I also don't see freezing eveything is always good either. There must be a fine balance. And this requires critical thinking.

I have been to other palces with redeveloped waterfronts. With good planning, they all blend in very well with the enviroment and bring the beauty of these places to the mass, instead of just private reseves for those rich and famous who can afford to pay for those expensive condos with exclusive waterfront views.

Again, I stand to be corrected. You capable and talented photeograophers out there who must know better. Show me a picture you took or you can find of our Victoria Harbour, either steer clear of all man-made structires and lights or simply imagine they are not there, and show me what makes it stands out above the other harbours in the world.

We need to know what exactly makes the Victoria Harbour clicks, and what makes Hong Kong clicks, before we can have a rational debate on the issue. You photographers, with a eye for beauty, must know better. Please enlighten me.
