U should do some research to see which one is most suitable for u.

The strength of E500 is for shooting potrait. It's perfect. For landscape, the conservation is on the wide angle side if u want to expand your lens in this area in the future. The unique feature is auto dust removing which is very useful if u do shooting in normal outdoor environment mostly.

The weak side of it is on the noise level control and only 3 focusing points. So, if u often shoot sports or night photos, u may consider other dslr.
