I would like to buy a new DC. Before I use Casio R3.

Compare with G5 and S1, which is better performance for Indoor and Night.

CANON S1 IS vs G5 兩部都唔同級,千其唔好叫compare呀,一定冇結果,室內夜攝G5有大光圈,大size CCD,多功能,SI CCD就細D,但有tele同防震,視乎你需要.

Totally agreed with qaiuswong - Can't compare because they are not in the same class. I used to have a G5 but sold it because I needed fund for the purchase of D70. G5 took very good indoor photo. However, if the environment is not very bright, you need an external speedlite. I used to have the 420 and works very well with the G5. One thing I didn't like the 420 - it does not have the flash output compensation.

For night photo, G5 has the CA problem (purple ring around the very bright object such as lighting sources). A lot of DCs have the same problem. You can correct it with photo shop. G5 can shot raw as well!

Right now the price is very attactive. I bought mine for $5480.

不過其實我都唔知點解,因我以前用過G1同G2,及見我朋友部G3都係一樣,G系D機凡在ISO50,用內閃燈一定炎重under,set返去ISO100或以上就冇事,所以響ISO50一定要用外閃燈.
