basically 3700 is a good dc in the condition of $2,3xx with 128SD. (2-3k cannot buy 5200), it is small, light, fair photo quality, battery enough, 30fps movie (pls be reminded that if u want to use 640 30fps without time limit, u must use 10m/s sd card, otherwise u can just use 320 30fps, but i prefer use 320 30fps nor 640 30fps personally because u can just take several min movie under 640 30fps with 256sd but 1x min under 320 30fps).

Now in Time Square (BBS 13/F) Fortress has bargain center with only extra 5% off. But it comes with 128MB card. If add extra $52 can have SanDisk 256MB card. Comes with charger, DC bag. Seems attractive.

But I wonder should I buy at Fortress or Water Good...Donno how much it cost at water good shop....anyone know?

Now the price is $2180, so 5% off is $2071 with 128MB. And I think I'll pay extra $52 for upgrade to a 256MB. (that replace the free 128MB). Total = $2123. But I don't know if water good will be a lot cheaper ar. Otherwise I'll be "dump" heart hehee. What do u think? I'm not very familiar with water good's $ ar.

yes gea...only 1 but it's a crappy Kodak EasyShare CX4300. Paid $890 with visa last year but really crappy. I want to have a new DC which has good quality pic and light weighted/small. Now new models comes out older model's $ lower seems like a good time to buy :P

i have a kodak 4330 before, but i think kodak's picture quality is ok wo, so the photo quality is not my main point to buy 3700 for replacing my 4330, and the pts for my replacement are:

1 size
2 weight
3 battery life
4 assistance focus lamp (3700 has afl which can help the dc to focus easily on the dark place)
5 fair price (below 3k last xmas)

i dont suggest u to buy water gd as i think water good is more suitable to the guy who like to change model frequently. so if u just want to buy a dc for daily use and will not change others before die (of couse dc, ha ha), pay $xxx more for more safety & more reliable warranty is fair and need not to dump heart. moreover, manufacturing place is not important in my opinion, quality control is the key point although nikno's qc is not excellance but no one is perfect even canon and olmypic etc. (dont forget to pay more attention to check the dealth pt on 3700's lcd which is the main defect on 3700, my friend need to change several times last yr on this pt but i neednt)

if u really want to know the water price, pls call 2391-8868 (dc career) for asking, finally pls ask yrself do u like 3700 overall, if yes, i think $17xx is very fair and no complain, and of course, if u have another "sum sui", pls let us know for further discussion.

oh yes, good points. Yes I think I'll buy non-water good la gum. Thanks for reminding to check dead pt....I didn't think of it before. Yes ar, I wont buy another one until it die hehee.

btw, I tried to called dc career but no answer :P

So did you buy a spare battery? I heard a rechargable one is only $200. If I bring this dc to other country, how to re-charge battery? (only way is to buy a converter?)

I dont have much other "sum sui" la coz I'm not too familiar with DC and I read many reviews, smaller/slimmer's DC seems not as good as 3700 quality-wise wor. I.E Canon's battery less life, body easy to get hot. Pentax S5's photo quality ppl seems to complain about. Only complaint for 3700 so far is the LCD too small and can be a bit more smaller :D

if u dont need to leave to other country shortly, i think no need to buy another battery at the same time, just test the original battery is whether or not enough to use a full day under yr own style. if yes, no need la, one day one turnover is normal if u dont mind to rechange it every night..............it just a calculation to determine how many battery u need in the trip.

try to ask for additional battery free of charge if u dont mind, it's work.

just for yr information: AA battery dc is more suitable for travel.
