我原本想買此鏡,不過後來發現此鏡不能用於傳統相機上及保值問題,最後都係買左17~40 f4L. 之後等二手有平才買此鏡好D.

我覺得17~40 F4L水貨都係$4900. 差唔多的話不如買支L鏡好D,無論成像同保值都係L鏡.

I somewhat agree with Kanji.

A good lens can be used in years to come. EF-S is only good for APS-C size CMOS, therefore, 3-5 years* later when full size become popular, the money value of this expensive EF-S lens will drop like crazy.

*. 3-5 years is only my personal opinion.

I am using EF-S 17-85. It is very convenient, easy to use and with IS.

But don't expect too much on optical quality. It has very soft corner at 17mm F4.0 with chrom. aberation. The color of photo is not as good as 70-200 F4L or 85mm F1.8. And the aperature is small.

It is worth to buy if $3000. But I am happy to use it as general purpose lens.

EF-S lens only survive for 3-5 years until APSC disappeared.

I think at that moment, nobody will receive your lens.... so the lens u cannot sell it out any more.

If you buy those lens, you need to expect the money u pay should be forever, don't expect you can sell it.
