Hi all,

in the past, i have tried canon A series and ixus series, and now I want to try a camera which has more "function" and "better quality",
is canon S70 a good choice?

Any comment to this ?

ixus series - idiot class with limited manual operation
A series - semi-prosumer class with manual operation.
S series - semi-prosumer class with manual operation and better lens system. (supposed to be)

S70機身不太大, 有齊MENU功能, 仲有28WIDE.
細機來講幾全面.
不過要成四千元.
功能同相片質素都無問題.

I think you better buy S60, S70 just 2.0MP more than S60,but more expensive than S60 about $500,all other functions including lens also the same!
S series Photo quality is OK, I have been used S50 before,but the battery life is not too long.

Not "not too long", extremely short in fact.

The S60, S70 have a longer battery life as the capactiy has been increased to 740mah from 570mah of the S50

I have a S70, when I use the ISO higher than 100, the noise is quite seriously , also the function I feel it is more or less same as A series. I suggest you upgrade to G series is better.

Cannon S50/60/70 are characterised by biased ISO, i.e.

ISO50 = ISO100
ISO100 = ISO200
.....
..... and so on

S Series 同 A Series
功能差不多一樣.
S60, 70 除了機身細一點外,
有28 Wide係A series 無既.
不過A Series 用2A電
A95仲有可扭LCD mon.
值得考慮
