85mm F1.8 is not L, 85mm L should be F1.2 (fade out model)

What body are u using now? and how many budget are u going to spend?

If U can spport EF-S,
EF-S 10-22mm USM will be a good wide angle lens for EF-S body

others recommended (besides the Ls) are
100mm F2.8 Macro
70-200 F2.8 L (IS or not U decide)
Kit lens EF-S 18-55

I would recommend:

For DSLR:
Wide Angle: EF-S 10-22mm F3.5-4.5
Standard Range : EF 17-40mm F4 L == 27-64mm equivalent in DSLR

For SLR:
Wide Angle: EF 17-40L F4 L
Standard : EF 50mm F1.8II
Tele end : EF 70-200mm F4 L
