it depends on what you need.
I bought this 2 weeks ago after looking for a new DC in more than 1 1/2 year. MPEG4 + zoom (even though no sound will be recorded during zoom); > 2 inches LCD with > 200,000 pixel; compact, quick response; date on photo (very important to me for taking photos with my babies) are the selling point. now I use i50 to take movie for the babies when going out. I use the DV only at home. the picture quality, at a 42-in plasma tv is acceptible (4:3 mode).
the trade off (e.g compare to FX-9, ixus 700, s3 etc) are the picture quality is lower and no anti-shake function. Other regular problem with slim DC such as noise, poor night shot etc are just common for all brands. in terms of battery life, okay la and remember you have 2 batteries ! however, have not tried the MP3 function yet and don't know it's impact to battery life because I use iPod Nano.

E 部機有個好大的問題!!!
按完個 shutter 制之後，要等半秒先有反應
load 得有d 慢!!
Nikon S1,S3 and sony T5,T7
都唔會係咁
nikon and sony 個快門反應快好多~
d 相都靚過 Samsung ~~
我有幾個friend 買過~~
d 相真係唔係好掂
