Originally, I don't intend to reply as I am working in PAQ...But as no one reply you in the last 2 days, I hope I can give you some information.

In addition to the shoulder strap, there is also a waist strap. So, you can carry it in a more comfortable way if you are going outdoor, like hiking or going to trip.

Also, the partition is not fixed and you can move it to fit your own equipments.
