i'm not familiar with lx2.

you can put a thin layer of grease/cream on a filter except the centre spot to create a similar effect, just guest.

oh no, that would kill your filter.

cut a hole on a piece of clear plastic sheet (from a pvc bag etc.) and place it in front of the lens.

yes with PS
1. select central pasrt u want to sharp,
2. inverse selection
3. feather edge
4. soft / defocus or try whatever filter u like
