canon 40D use adaptor and manual lens


any c-hing using manual lens on EOS Dslr and/or 40D camera ?

pls. list brand and range of manual lens use on EOS.

does manual old lens able to use Av Tv and M ?

I am using 40D with nikon 50mm f1.4 ai usng M and also find Av workable too but not sure if Tv also ok.
