I Just bought last week $1890 at DCC (water).
Excellent movie & functions let me play around all day.
The only weak pt is its 2.0M pixels, but I use it to take snap shot with my 2 yr baby & making movie for VCD storage & that is enough for me.
Highly recommended !!!!!!!
I think there will not any MZ4, (just my opinion), I think the J1 model means "joint" the function of AZ3 & MZ3, so if you like to wait, I think wait for J2, which may at least half yr later!

但係我唔係咁諗喎......
MZ3 做得咁好.........
而J1 只不過係一部無手動, 淨係適合影snapshot o既機.....
所以我覺得Sanyo 唔會將佢地合併.....

if you want to make movie, it is not worth,,,,
MZ3 ($1890, water gd, DCC) + IBM microdrive (@$ 1650 = @ 3550
($23xx, hong gd) = @3900
Panasonic newest DV is very small costs $3980 ....
If you want to take pics... the pics with 2M is not good....
But Sanyo DC is good if you but AZ3... 4M CFI/II only 31xx......
