大C門, Can we use 雪櫃 to store lens, camera & film instead of 防潮箱? Any Idea?

never do that!!!!!!! coz the low humidity will harm your stuff and moisture would get into them very seriously, again, DON'T even try that!!!!!!!!

you can do that, just like professional film do the same, but to avoid the moisture and eventually condensation inside the camera, you HAVE to make sure you use a 100% air tight container, just like the container of the professional films. You put all your gears into the big air-tight container, and then for best result, you should put in drying agents into the air-tight container as well.

and then, everytime you want to use your gears, you have to take the container out in room temperature for at least 2 hours before you ever open the container so as not to allow moisture go inside and condense inside your camera and lense. Just treat them like they are professional film.

and for that container, you can easily buy from photo supply store, and the name of that air-tight container is called 防潮箱.

but why you want to put your gears into the fridge?? to keep them fresh?? so as to retain the 2nd hand value??

唔係下化? 大師用雪櫃做防潮箱? 我從來未聽過! 冷藏菲林就係指定動作, 專業菲林要儲存在10度以下使藥膜穩定, 但亦唔可以太低溫以防膠卷斷裂, 濕度亦唔可以太低, 未拆包裝者可以直接放入雪櫃門壁上的「牛油格」位置儲存, 小弟最發燒時就因常常霸佔雪櫃空間挨罵而自購酒店式小型雪櫃儲菲林。

至於相機或鏡頭, 用雪櫃作防潮箱係極戇居既做法, 無論機身或鏡頭, 都有油脂潤滑, 放入雪櫃之後油脂凝結, 後果可以想像, 好快會有新機新鏡用, 加上外拍時若遇上高濕度環境, 機內水氣冇位走凝埋一滴二滴, 明明係小問題都變成破壞性, 儲存攝影器材好簡單, 基本上係控制濕度, 溫度只要唔係太冷太熱就可以, 但亦唔係完全冇水氣, 電子防潮箱就係最佳工具, 中型電子防潮箱只係幾百蚊, 十幾廿年前真係貴過一個雪櫃, 點解要做埋D冇益冇建設性既戇居野?!

再講, 相對濕度同溫度有關, 打開雪櫃門時外界濕度高的空氣湧入, 關門後溫度下降使相對濕度提高, 所以雪櫃成日都有濕立立既感覺, 如果係話唔插電用雪櫃放器材, 我又睇唔到有乜好處, 同放晌紙皮箱內有乜分別? 唔諗電子防潮箱都仲有大量密封式容器可供選擇, 點解要諗個最高風險既方法? 就算全無風險, 每次使用前都要「過冷河」兩粒鐘, 邊有咁既耐性??

鬧完之後我一定會講個有益有建設性既方法補鑊, 外影後返家, 器材通常都沾上濕氣, 直接置入乾燥式防潮箱或抽濕式防潮箱都唔係最好既方法, 放晌電視機後面啦, 呢個位置溫度適中, 而且係全屋濕度最低既地方, 半個鐘之後才收藏, 器材就歷久如新了。陽光普照時不妨將器材曝曬十分鐘, 天然紫外光係最好既防霉劑。

NEVER put your stuffs into the fridge, absolutely no point for that, and all it can do is harm the gears.
