I heard that the photographer took ~7 hours to finish the PS works. Nonetheless, there're a lot of imperfections as cited by different websites:

Personally, I think this inauguration photo is acceptable as it is almost impossible to make a perfect panorama including so many audiences.

Regarding the inauguration photo, the original image size is 59,783 X 24,658 pixels or 1,474 megapixels. The new version is 56,646 X 27,788 or 1.57 gigapixels.
