I haven't bought it yet, since I am in no hurry. I prefer and am still looking for a good 2nd hand one, since I seldom use 300mm except I go on trip probably 2-3 times per year, so a 2nd hand lens is more economic for me. But now I am also thinking of buying a brand new one, since a price of below 4K is highly accpetable and I can avoid the risk of buying a 2nd hand lens that is non-quality proved and usually short of warranty.

Kowloon life's price tends to be high in general. When I asked about the tokina 11-16mm/2.8, the price was way high as $4400 and this was yet before the prize booming period.

same here, i usually use the 18-105 kit lens which is very flexible for casual daily shooting, i will only need the 70-300 when i go on trip which is also 2-3 times a year. but since it is hard to find a decent 2nd hand 70-300 therefore if the price at 領先 is really $4k for a brand new 行貨 it is quite attractive!
