i am planning to buy FX Nikon
I went to Nikon's showroom, tried D800 and D600:

D800; Solid, all buttons so easy to find, i don't want to put it down

D600: fit in my budget (body & a lens , around $20K)

C-Hing... any suggestion.

PS: The person in Nikon, asked me to try d7100 (but that's DX)

i think these 3 points are the biggest difference between D800 and D600. do u need 36mp? do u need 51 AF point? do u need that rock hard body?

go for FX, no need to think about D7100

u only have 3 choices, D4 / D800 / D600

have a look, D600's sensor is very close to D800

and as long as u don't need to print huge, u don't need 36mp for most of the case.

To me, 24mp is good, 39 AF point is okay... won't be a problem for me to take the shot. and D600's body is tough enough for me. i need usable ISO and a bit faster fps

1st step , buy better Lens (FX)
maybe after 3~4 yrs. more skillful, then upgrade to FX-camera
