of course D5000, the image processing inside D80 was using one generation older than D5000. So, I prefer D5000

D80 use CCD; D5000 use CMOS.

D5000 is 2nd generation, much better in high ISO. I vote for D5000. D90 will be even better.

我之前同樓主都係諗2手D80 或D5000，考慮咗好耐，最後都係買2手d80 kit len。原因部機有摩打，買鏡時多好多o野揀。如果有新科技，我會買D90。 ^.^

Picture quality and noise control, the D5000 and D90 will do a better job. BTW, the kit lens from D80 is very very bad.

D80 kit lens was 18-70? or 18-135?

D5000's 18-55 VR will have better PQ. Nowadays, no focusing motor on body is not a big issue. There are many lower cost AFS or HSM now.

Between the two, D5000 for sure.
