I am a "new hand" too.
Wish to understand more....
Since A900 is a full frame model, expect more light can get in to the sensor but why ISO is not good?
On that other hand, for professional user point of view, is that so usual to use high ISO? They have a lot of money to by F1.4 or F2.8 lens! Right?
This always confusing me and hope brothers give me more lessons.

answer 1: Same size of sensor with more pixels...you can expect each pixel's exposure to light will be less...
answer 2: normal people/ studio photographers not usual to use very high ISO, but for people like reporters/ sports photojournalist, they sometimes would need to shoot thing in high speed indoor and cannot use flash/ or flash is useless due to the long distance from the subject. At those instances F1.4 or F2.8 cannot help too much, what they need would be higher ISO to achieve safely shutter speed.
Afterall, apart from use in indoor sport shooting, a900 is good for most scenarios with lower ISO requirement~
