I would like to buy either G7 or LX2, and personally G7 is preferred. But the price has $1000 distance.

so i would like ask the experts here where can i obtain G7 at a lower price (Both 行 and 水) and what should i need to note if i buy 水 good.

The only thing i know is if the cam breaks down, i have to bring back to shop for repair and may be quite expense. right?

may be this question asked million times before but please advice this beginner the of cam. Thanks in advance.

where do you find it?

i find $4040 at Mong Kong 鐳射, around end of March too. And a lot of "presents" like 2G card, battery and others which i think not useful for me. The sales also said give me cinema ticket but i did not accept the deal.

$4040 at Citicall, w/ 2GB SD?...it's a case of "羊毛出在羊身上" only.

I bought mine at $3800 at one of those small shops in Wanchai Computer Mall back in January after quite a bit of bargaining, but in the end, I paid another $200 for the 2GB SD, so the total was still $4000.

Last time I checked, the lowest price for dealer stock G7 is about $3800 or $3850 in those compu mall smaller shops. If you are a good bargainer, I think you could probably get it at $3750, but no gift whatsoever.

As for Parallel Import (水貨), the lowest price I've seen recently is $3450.

As for the repair of parallel import, you can either take it back to the little shop that offers their own 1 year warranty. They would either have their own technician or they have some kind of secret connection with the Can0n technician, who would work for the little shop as a freelance repairman.

Alternatively, you can take it back to Can0n service centre. I asked them about this, they told me that they would provide the same repair service for parallel import, at the same price as if your warranty has expired...i.e. like $200 for inspection + labour & parts...etc. This is already quite good. Some other brands simply refuse to repair parallel import, or have another price list that's twice as much. All that measures as a punishment for not buying dealer stock from them.

But does anyone tried to bargain a better price if eliminate the "gifts" in those large shops? Please share! Thanks
