intended to buy a lens of 70-200mm F4L IS at the price about $8,300 at Boardway, MK. I checked the lens before buying it. Disappointedly, the lens I inspected have had dust inside. I asked for another one but the same problem still existed and even more worser!!!

I then went to other shop (total three different shops) and checked more than 10 lens, ALL have dust inside. It is totally unacceptable for this costly price with such a quality!!! Eventually, I went home.

I will try again at another shops later to see if the same problem still exist. Today I made a complaint to Canon for the substandard quality, the supervisor replied that he would look into the case and would give reply next Monday.

So, be careful and check it before buying.

I understand your feelings and request. It's our rights. However, even if you find a dust-free lens, it will get dusts later on. (It's my own experience, surely others as well.)The good news is that the quality of photographs is seldom affected by dusts.
