I prefer 707 which I consider as higher grade than G2.

本人兩部都用過, 我會選G2 , 因為第一我覺得G2 既default setting 已經係auto modo 及普通mode 影d相出黎已經好靚, 而且顏色好自然, 而707 影d相出黎太sharp, 唔得自然, 不過佢有紅外線對焦, 夜晚唔駛頭痛, 第二, 除非你要成日晒大相, 如果唔係一部4百萬象真係絕對夠用, 不過, 如果G2 同717 比, 就真係要認真選選, 因為717d 色彩已經做到無咁sharp

707 is better i think...
i have used g3 and 707 before......i think control 707 is better than g3 a lot....both of the quality is really good....but the size oof g2 is smaller than 707....if u don't think about the size and the price(include the memory)
i choose 707!

I have a Canon G2 and also Sony F-717. My personal opinion is that the picture quality of Canon G2 is better than Sony F-717. Even I have done some blind test with my friends by show them some pictures taken by G2 and some taken by F-717, they all think that the picture quality of G2 is better than F-717.

Just my silly personal opinions.

On the one hand,
G2's color is better than 707, especially the red.
G2 smaller and lighter than 707.
G2 has ETTL flash which is better than 707, Sony's flash is not good!
512M CF card is only $800 now while 512M memory stick pro is over $2000! and unfortunately, 707 doesn't support MS pro so that it can only use 128M MS.
On the other hand,
707 has more advanced features, more easy to take photo in dark environment.
707 has longer zoom than G2.
707 has 5M pixel which is slightly better than G2 if you print A4 or larger photo.

Conclusion, for general user, I think G2 is better.

G2可以用CF卡,唔洗用D貴又唔低的MS卡，
而且又多鏡頭，Flash選擇。手動性又高。

707的電池比較耐用。
晚間拍照比較快，準確。

色彩就各有各睇啦。（個人比較喜歡G2隻色)
