i am going to trip and i want to buy a DC, which i expect could be used for few years, budget is below $6000.

after review this forum, i found that the above models gain reputation of good quality and reliabilty. please advise on it and you are welcome to suggest other models too.

if you have unlimited money, of coz C5050 la,

but if you only budget at $6000, i sugeest you buy Casio QV-5700, so you can have $$ to buy powerful accessories, like wide / tele lens, more batteries / flash unit........

You can buy in DC Woxld at HK$4xxx for the camera and one wide lens.

For casio product. I always found poor comment on their camera.

i am not sure about the other 2 (casio/minolta), i bought my 5050 on early august, and took it for a 20 days holiday in sichuan. i got customed to the functions during the journey and i love it!!

with the wide lens that came along with the camera (from dc world as a package), it gives the camera zoom length from 28mm ~ 105mm, which is quite impressive already!! battery consumption is another merit, 4 fully charged 2100mAh batteries can allow 3~4 hrs continuous shooting. excellent super macro function; sharp night shooting quality.....

some how i have to complain on it's weak shell!!!
the screw shoe for tripod was already loosen; the speaker was already making strange "qiu~qiu~qiu" sound.

how much is 5050 in dcworld for member ???is that include the 128mb cf card?and if iam not member,how much is it??? thx!!

For price pls check DC Wxxld howm page......it does not come with large MB CF card....u could save maybe more than $1K for joining as a member for this promotion....however, this is a summer holiday promotion...dun know it's still running now....
