HELP ! Need Advice.

I have decided to buy the 300D - but I have 2 choices:

1) Kits which come with the 18-55mm lens

2) Body only but I will buy the 50mm F1.8

Since I can get the "Body Only" (Hong Good) for only HK$ 7000, that's
why I am having these two options.

As you state above, I think that you prefer take a portrait rather than a landscape. In my opinion, buying a body plus a Canon EF50 f/1.8 is the way to go.

Body + 50mm 1.8 is very good for portrait and day to day shots.

Would you pm me or post here where can you get 300D body at HK$7,000.

The EF-S lens along with 300D is designed for 300D only. The result is very good. So, I prefer to buy 300D kit.

Thanks everyone. I think I will buy the kit cos' according to Canon Marketing, they won't sell the EFS 18-55mm lens as accessory. Now working in Singapore, the price is a bit cheaper here. The kit price is around $8000 but only comes with 1 year warranty :(
