I would only take macro photography infrequently, therefore I do not intend to buy a dedicated macro lens. I want to try a close-up filter (e.g. +3 or +4) with Tamron 28-300mm XR lens (min. object distance = 49cm ; maximum mag. ratio = 1:2.9 at 300mm focal length). Is it a possible alternative choice? Any pros and cons? Thanks!
