i brought the 20D kits
but i wnat to upgrade it's lens
any good suggest?
is the ef17-40 f4 and ef70-200 f4 is already good for 20D?
other then lens, anything else accessories is good for 20D?

frankly speaking,
if u buy kit lens,
no need to buy 17-40L first.

i will recommend ppl don't buy kit lens.
but if bought, don't buy duplicate range.

You now have 18-55
buy 50 f/1.4 + 70-200 f/4L is enough.

i also look some lens form sigma and temron but i scare they may not very compactable with future's canon lens system!
but anyway i think the sigma is also a good money/quality value lens!

i use 10D,
i have 17-40 f/4L, 24-70 f/2.8L, 70-200 f/2.8L
i can tell u,
u can see the difference with non-L lens even with 300D or 10D.

咁當然有分別, 如果唔系都唔使賣咁貴, 但值唔值就見人見智! 我總覺得如是工作, D相當然要對客戶交代, 但為了自已興趣, L鏡算勝過10%又如何, 都是看一次兩次已矣! 但買L鏡的價錢總會比同焦般的非L鏡貴何止10%呢! 其實真系又有幾多人分辨得到其靚在那裡呢? 特別在DSLR上太多可影響的條件及設定了;

另外一個講法, 有幾多朋友用DSLR出相系冇執過丫(需唔需要同有冇系唔同), 如果有執過的話更冇用L鏡的必要啦! 心魔吧 / 人云云呢了!

舉例, 如喜愛相機的朋友, 買鏡之差價(同樣上述三支L鏡), 可買另一系之相機玩玩(如, CONTAX G系, CY系; NIKON FM系) 不是更開心嗎?

I just bought the 20D last month

I think the best combination (VERY costly) is:
* 17-40L for WA
* 50mm 1.8 for portrait (and becoz it's cheap)
* 70-200 2.8 IS for zoom (sport, indoor, wedding etc...)
* 100 2.8 macro

If you don't want to invest too much and don't need macro:
* 28-135 IS

講返鏡70-200 IS 跟 28-135 IS 價錢相差一萬元喎!!!!!!!!

講返17-40個支, 我有個朋友做了一個測試, 300D, 17-40跟KIT鏡, 在同一環境, 同一條件, 同一光圈, 同一快門仲之咩都一樣啦, 發覺用齋用眼系分辨不到任何分別!

這當然不是我自已做的測試啦, 有興趣的朋友可自行玩玩, 幾得意!

17-40影出黎既contrast同sat.都會比kit lens高... 絕對係買得過...
