I would prefer A200. The difference between 27mm and 28mm is not noticeable. A200 has 7x optical zoom while 7070 has 4x only. A200:f2.8-3.5; 7070:f2.8-4.8, so A200 is better. A200 can produce better images. A200 has anual zoom ring, so u can adjust ur zoom faster. Focusing speed is more or less the same.

I like A200 but I find the price of 7070 is very cheap in USA
only HKD3,900
I will go there this month .may be I buy A200

喂喂, 如果你去美國買當地行貨, 倒不如0係香港買水貨, 因為香港水貨都話有間鋪頭同你做保養喎.... (除非你係長期住0係美國又唔同講法).
我上個星期先買0左部 A200 行貨, $5,380.
同時見到有間鋪頭仔, 水貨好似$4,1XX. (你0係美國買都要 USD 550 + TAX)
計落其實0係香港買仲有數圍喎...

I was considering A200 as well, but it does not have AF assist light. I am concerned with its ability to focus at low light indoor. 7070 does have AF assist light! I think I would go for 7070 instead.
By the way, there is an appraisal on A200 in the April 2005 issue of Chocice Magazine.
