no it should be EW-83E, same one as for 17-40 & 16-35. get it at shing shing or chan hung for about $300+

83E is offical,
but 83DII and 83G also can use it with
83DII have a better build over 83E, i suggest this one for you

take my words: getting a 83E on the market is much much much easier than 83DII (from 24/1.4) and 83G (from 28-300L) becoz a lot more people uses 16-35 & 17-40 compared to the other two lenses.

But also remember: 83DII and 83G both have narrower angle of view. If you use it on 10-22, you will get dark corners. 83E is the one you should get becoz 10mm on 1.6x crop has the same angle of view as 16mm on a full frame. That is why EF-S 10-22 uses the same hood as EF16-35L.

I can use 83DII on my 16-35 + 300D becoz 16mm on 300D = 25.6mm - narrower angle of view than 24/1.4. Same case for 83G. Do not try it on 10-22.
