I don't consider 24-70L but think 24-105L IS
1) light
2) IS
You may say it is f4 not f2.8, IS can compensate this
Moreover, the jobs of large aperture (e.g. protrait), I prefer leave to the prime lens (e.g. 135/f2L)

I have already got a 35L and a 85L and I am looking for a L-lens with 24mm. Yes, I can simply buy the 24L but it seems too close to my 35L. It is also a matter of money. Therefore, I consider a L-zoom lens with 24mm range. As you said, large aperture is not a problem coz I have the 85L, however, I really want to get a better one from these two zoom lens. Thanks for your reply, beancurdbean, anyway.
