就算 jpeg2000 係 lossless compression.
都唔能夠取代 RAW 呢種原生性proprietary format 能夠儲存information多於比任何一種 lossless file format.
而且file size亦唔一定比RAW細

I would rather wish all DC and DSLR could support Adobe DNG fromat. But very unlikely.

lossless compression means that no information is loss during compression. i.e. when you decompress the data, you can get the original data.
Raw format stored to raw data collected from the sensor. It may use more bit to store information (e.g. 18bit) for 1 pixel than jpeg. Thus in order to save the photo in jpeg, it "may" use fewer bit (e.g. 8bit) to represent the information of 1 pixel. Thus information is loss. Notes: information is not loss during compression.

"all DC and DSLR could support Adobe DNG " ? 我試過將Canon RAW file convert 去Adobe DNG , 但convert 後居然file size 比原先既raw 大左1/3, 咁徙位DNG有乜好處? 大家都係冇壓縮檔 ,不如keep番raw算啦.

我估可能用在手機機會多D,
因為壓縮大又保持quality, 可以做高速連拍!
JPEG五年內唔會有公司轉,
因為Windows未有支持,
好難多人用, 冇人用就冇市場, 冇公司出
mp3, acc encode係好例子,
acc音質好過mp3,
不過都係mp3主導........
