跟機鏡?夠用,如果要買多支黎影風景?就要買支超廣角變焦,我覺得Tokina 12-24 F4 唔錯,$3400在右。

I went travelling 香格里拉 last year
for whole trip, I use 17-40 mainly and it;s enough, but of course sometimes superwide is preferable, but my idea is, it's not easy to control (I just used fisheye, no super wide)
Sometimes you may cover too much or cannot simplfy the composition. If you have kit lens, I do suggest for a tele, sometimes, some landscape you may have to use tele (e.g. Mountain, of course you can use wide, but while weather is no good, tele can help you make composition)
In addition, for wide, it's not easy for you to get in touch with 小數民族, (although it's very excellent if you handle well) for portraits > tele or mid-range is necessary (if you worry too heavy, can choose tele prime such as 100-135mm)

Tibet sample for 70-200 (last time at Yunan, I couldn't use it well)

I went there in August 2005, with D70, Sigma 18-50 f/2.8, Sigma 18-200, and Sigma 15 Fisheye Diagonal.
18-50 used 90% of the time, 18-200 about 8%, fisheye 2%.
A lot of pic are taken on bus, need a very fast lens F/2.8 or faster. When you visit villages, temples etc indoors you need very wide lens 12-24 or 10-20 or fisheye lens to capture more scenery in small area.
You don't need wide lens for landscape, because Shangri-la is flat in the middle and surrounded all sides by mountains, composition may not be too good, as wide lens would make background very small, can't see the mountains clearly. Unless you are very near the mountains.
And consider very wide lens are not for portraits(distortions), that you need to fix later(lots of work).
A tripod is handy for landscapes for sharpness (small aperture, long exposure).
A lot of temples do not allow the use of flash inside, so plan ahead for some fast equipment,
Basically, I could do the whole trip with the 18-50 F/2.8.
Without the F/2.8, I could have taken may be 60% less pictures.
I have taken about 4500 pictures in 7 days.
sample of my pics for Yunan can be found:

have a good trip.
