So many brothers said SB-800 is "Must" buy.......but it costs almost $2800 woh....and I don't have to use the wireless fuction......do I really have to buy SB-800 as my external flash? Can I use other factory's flash? What are the major advantages of SB-800 (besides wireless) when compare with other names?

If you just want stronger flash but no need playing master + slave & remote flash, the newest SB-400 can be considered which should be around $1300.

Tks for all comments. But is there anybody can tell more details how good of SB800 besides the wireless function....eg. more adjustment features? stronger power? more accurate? 360 degree turns?

火力較大係事實, 個LCD 亦都有背光燈, 黑暗o既環境下可以睇得清楚D ,
同埋佢有多一個距離先決o既功能,
仲有柔光罩送,同埋D 色紙等等, 亦都可以附加一粒電箱
另佢回電速度更快, 以上呢D 野SB-600 係無o既!

Strong power of SB800 can support more for bounce flash, FP flash, using lightsphere / soft diffuser..

Other than TTL mode, SB800 has Auto mode that SB600 / Sigma 500 DG super do not have.

Auto mode can run at D40/50/70 for flash syn over 1/500 sec. Auto mode + single point contact can make SB800 use on other brand DSLR.

Some Can non user prefer to use SB800 + auto mode instead can on flash because of SB800 accuracy. Before I also used SB800 on pentax DSLR.

Flash system is the strength of Nikon, just pay 1k more can play the top flash, so many C Hing recommend SB800
