First, I want to appologize that I did not buy the F300, I am only the F100 user. But I did the simple test in Mong Kok Broadway today, hope this primary information can help someone who want to buy F300 !

1. Starting time

The starting time for F300 is almost same as F100 ! It takes about 5 seconds to start up the DC for taking photos ! So it is still not suitable for snap shot ! Compare to S45, S45 takes about 3 seconds to start up !

2. Shot to Shot time

Without flash - Shot to shot time for F300 without using flash is almost same as F100, about 1 second ! Really fast but F300 response a bit faster, but not big as F100 is fast already !
With flash - this is the biggest difference between F100 and F300 ! For F100, it takes almost 5 seconds to take another photos if you use flash ! But for F300, it only takes about 2-3 seconds ! So the flash charging time for F300 is much faster !

3. View photos at play mode

Sorry, the lens won't go back at play mode unless you are fast enough to turn the wheel from power off to play mode, then the lens won't come out ! (Same as F100)

Overall response for F300 is faster than F100 ! But for battery management, sorry that i don't have chance to test it !

4. Does it worths to buy F300 instead of F100 ?

It is a really hard questions to answer ! "Hong" F100 is about $3100 and today the cheapest "Hong" F300 is in "Tin Yin", $4080 , so it is about $1000 difference ! Let's compare. F300 include 32M SD card but F100 only have 16M, so it is about $100 (32M compare to 16M)
F300 include battery and charger while F100 did not ! So it is about another $200
For 5 megapixels and Noise reduction, I can't comment how much does it worths ! But the approximate $300 worths for F300 makes the difference becomes $700 between F300 and F100 ! In my opinion, If you have money, I will consider F300 more than F100 as it have noise reduction and can take longer sound movie !

Do you know if the batteries are rechargeable? and will the F300 charger and batteries work in the F100 too? thx thx

In the web, they said it include the rechargeable batteries and charger ! Of course it work in F100 !

Just check on the web ! The official accessories F300 includes 4 Ni-Cd Rechargable batteries !
