I want to buy one between them. Any comments? Following is the link from user of them for your reference. I think the image quality of 3800 is better than C730 but C730 has more manual function and longer tele lens.

One more question, I owned A40. Some people said C730's quality is poor than A40. But some people don't think so. I so worry about this. Any brothers have compared with them?

basically, before you buy a dc, u have to ask yourself, what do u need and what will u shot if you gonna shot some birds or something far away from you, 730 should be your choice between them!!

and 730 support more manual functions like S and A mode which 3800 just support A mode only

and 730 have a longer shutter time (16s) but 3800 just 3s at most!
take it easy mate, think it twice before you buy!

anyway, if you choose 730, that will be great!!!

Thank you for your comments. I am greedy to get everything. I love the spec of C730 of course. That is all I want. However, I worry about the most important thing for camera - image quality. I will accept it if the quality is not little better than A40 for daylight and indoor photos with flash.

The main purpose for me is to take photos for my little daughter (3 years old) and if possible, I want to join the photo club to take some photos of models. Is it enough field of depth effect for taking models photos if I use only 6x (~210mm) lens?

Thank you for your sharing. Your photos is very good! However, can you share photos for taking at people (living photos or models)? I consider this kind of photos very much!

for DC, field of depth effect u have to use at least 150-200, even more!!! so, a 6x dc...it's barely enough. if you choosing the field of depth effect of dc, the longer focal length, the larger the chance you can success.

taking photos for ur daughter, it's enough and with not bad quality.
