想問一下，傳統單反鏡機的鏡頭能否兼容到DSLR?

因為本人想購入400D, 不知能否兼容呢?

of course, most of the lens like canon EF lens which can install to 400D.

For 400D, it only accept two kind of lens

1) EF >>>for both DSLR & SLR.
2) EFS >> for DSLR only.

Some old lens of Tokina, e.g. AT-X242 AF24-200mm f/3.5-5.6; or Sigma, e.g. 24-200, SIGMA EF 70-210/2.8 APO cannot be used on 400D, but some old lens of Tarmon, e.g. 90/2.8 072, 172 etc. can be used

a little bite add on,

ALL old EF mount lens should be able to use in 400D, actually all old EF mount lens should be able to use in newer Canon body, except the old len will not communicate will the body regarding the focused distance for ETTL II ( but ETTL still be able) other than this all AF, apeture can be set as usual. I have two lens as old as 17-18 years still be able to use in 400D.

EFS len is not for all DSLR, only for APS-C format ie. 10D, 300D, 350D, 20D and 30D etc.

For 5D and 1D series EFS can't be used otherwise the back projecting plastic part will crashed with the body reflective mirror.

However, Sigma len even design for APS-C format (because Sigma did not have the projecting plastic part at the back) eg. 10-20mm can be used on Full frame of APS-H format execpt with a black rectangle around the photo.
