I have had my C-5050Zoom for about one month so here are my opions (might be biased though :-)

Plus:
* Super fast F1.8 lens
* 5 Megapixels
* Excellent in Macro and Super Macro mode
* Use of 3 different media/memory cards
* Use of AA batteries
* A set of Ni-MH rechargeable AA batteries last a long long time
* 8 My Modes
* Excellent auto focus (including in low-light)
* Nice body shape/design and it's black :-)

Minus:
* More noise
* Needs more tweaking on white balance, saturation, and contrast, etc
* Only 3X optical zoom
* LCD refresh a bit slow
* Olympus FL-40 flash is very expensive
* The CA problem
* Olympus does not offer free camera firmware update like Canon and Nikon do
