why when my CF is reformatted in MZ-3....the photo or number will not be counted from the beginning again?

e.g: the latest photo number is 0032, after reformatting, i take a photo again, the photo number is 0033 but not 0001.

but in common, u'll first transfer all the photo to PC first and reset photo no......
u'll not suddenly press reset...
