I have a 3M DC which allow me to choose from Super-Fine, Fine or Normal compression. Would it make big difference for the 3 modes if I'm printing 4R photos of same 2,048 x 1,536 resolution?

Higher rate of compression will destroy more detail of your photo, so if you want to use your image for photo-printing purpose, I recommend that you should use Super-Fine mode or even non-compress mode if you can.
If your d-cam support non-compress file format, such as RAW or TIFF, that'll be nice.
