D300 or 40D or buy lens

I have D50 which is 18 months old, I'm now want to take photo for dance performance inside the theatre ( dark and a lot of fast movement)
I'm thinking to buy D300,or maybe 40D or 5D? because D50 is too slow for capture fast movement.

And i also like to take photo for people's close up.

I have the lens: D50 kit lens , sigma 18-200mm, 3.5-6.3 ( for hoilday) , nikon 50mm 1.8D. ( for people close up)

I used nikon 50mm 1.8D, take close up photo on stage when dancer dancing, the photo is not clear.


please help help me!

I can spend up to $20000, as i want to buy for a long term.

要快一定係d300, 買lens都冇用

根據樓主所述, 你係咪想行遠d zoom但又要夠光呢?
如果係咁買機先, 都係只會改善連拍速度, 但不會改善你的靈活性~

Buy lens實際~ 有錢先再買機~

長鏡+大光圈~

機唔係唔重要~ 連拍慢咪影多d撞下彩~ 總會有張中~
但長鏡有助遠攝, 大光圈可以入多d光~

以我經驗來說, 有時我都要影dance preformance, f/2.8-4, ISO 640-3200

我覺得40d , 買D300 不如買5D.

D 300, 51point auto focus. It really nice for lot of status. Make sure you got the right and clear image.

I'll vote for D300, since you got fair nikon lens and Nikon provide sharp image.

Which mean although you have a little shaking when you take the pic, since Nikon's pic is so sharp, it may still able to meet your requirement.

光圈, 快門, ISO 幾多?

未知你係 motion blur, 定係 focus 問題 wor...

motion blur 就用快d 快門, (推ISO, 開光圈啦)
focus 唔切, 用左 AF-C/AF-A 未, lock 死 focus point? set 晒都唔得就換快機快鏡啦.. (D300+AFS鏡)

i'm think also buy 17-55, 2,8 f or 80- 200 , 2.8 is better .....

I think D300 better than 40D?? $ 4000 more .....
