I just saw the sample photo (OptioS and Z3 from dcfever, J1 from SANYO web page). And here is my comment.
OptioS : The noise quite high, and detail quite poor, color poor.
Z3 : The noise better (dunno why), detail ok. color seems fake...
J1 : Quite poor quality using 2880x2160, ok using 2048x1536. But still color not ok.

it seems Canon ixus v3 color and photo quality better. (sure IXUS 400 much better for 4MP)

Z3 is bettter than S...though both are using the same lens system.
The photo quality of z3> S. The shutter delay time of z3 is much shorter than s.
Of course, IXUS 400 is better !! but it is much heavier!

ixus 400 > ixus v3 > z3 = j1 > s

and if i really buy, i will choose
j1 > z3 > v3 > 400 > s
since i want to have small, but with better movie mode.

even small as s, the quality really not accetable.

Well then, what about Minolta DiMAGE F200?
(when compared with IXUS400)
which is better (apart from the manual function of F200)?
I wanna know this since I may choose F200

IXUS 400 cost too high, and too large for place in shirt pocket (as I'm a 西裝友). Z3 is just make! and photo quality OK, plus attractice 2.0 LCD!!

z3 and optio s image quality really .... horrible.... (z3 is acceptable if see optio s.... but still can't compare with xi and ixus v3)

sure, ixus 400 is too heavy (185gm without battery)
