First of all, what do you guys think are the main advantages and disadvantages of A40. Will it be left behind by the new models (e.g. A70, IXUSII)?

The second thing is that do you guys know if Canon A40 supports the My Camera function (setting the start-up images and the shutter sound) of ZoomBrowserEX, which is the software accompanied with the camera.

I read from the manual that it supports that function, but an error message "The attached camera doesn't support the particular function" was shown when I attempt the function. Does anyone of you know how to deal with the problem?

2mp is too low, can't print 8R picture,limited to R4!!
A40 has limited manual control!!
Very short movie mode with no sound!!
Bigger in size!!
But A40 has it's big plus, somes are made in Japan!!

my A40 cannot use the "my camera" function also...
i think it doesnt support

advantages:
1. made in japan
2, better LCD
3. better QC <----seems to be
4. cheaper <--- if you consider this as an advantage~

disadvantages:
1. only 2.0 MP
2. doesnt have shutter and aperture priority
3. only 30s movie with sound
4. larger in size and heavier in weight
