Arround F4 Aperture give the best image quaility.

At F2.0 within 8 feet there is a spot autofocus cannot cover. Try to find it out and avoid it.

A steady hand or tripod guarrantee sharpness though not 717 specific.

Avoid strong light that is not part of the image get into the lens(not 717 specific)
