I had a similar problem before. The same movie played well on one PC but not on the other. Mostly likely It has something to do with the PC hardware configuration such as CPU, memory and graphic card. If you can't even play the movie smoothly on your PC, you will have a hard time to edit later. Perhaps need to upgrade your existing or need a new PC if you want to get serious about video.
