Recently I brought one Nikon 24-70. When looking for UV fliter to protect my investment, one professional photographer told me not necessary to add something in front of pro lens that may reduce the sharpness. Any CHing can advice me if a UV filter to protect my pro lens is necessary or not ?
When balancing the lost of sharpness (how much %) and my investment, which factor should come first ?
I'm just a serious hobbyist, not a pro. This lens doesn't make money for my living.
