stupid question: d3x or m9?

first of all: im new to the world of photography so pls dont mind me asking something which may make little sense to some of you who are experienced.

i understand d3x or m9 are no direct comparison, but they are of similar price range.

i am new but i dont want to waste money on mid-range kind of equipment just to upgrade later. im determine to get the latest and the best technology available.

i bought 2 leica m lenses (25mm/f 1.4 and 50mm/f 1.0) after i got the e-p1 which is a camera that got me interested in exploring the world of photography.

i have never had a nikon. so i sort of want to have a feel of a professional-grade camera like the d3x.

but on the other hand i really like pics from leica lenses and want to have a leica digital rangefinder to fully realize the value of the lenses i already have.

to be honest i wanna buy both of these cameras but neither of them is cheap so i am going to pick one.

any helpful opinions will be appreciated.

The digital bodies will come and go .. What is great will be superceded by better technology soon whether its M9 or D3X ..
What will last will be your lens .. Follow the lens that you like best and not the camera body , You already have two of the best Leica lens ..I thought the conclusion is rather obvious and the answer is trivial .

As conveyed in dchome.net, D3x and M9 are not for beginners. Buy a Nikon D3000 and use the Guide Mode. Your expernence cannot catch up with the flagships. When you gain experience someday, your D3x or M9 already became antique if you buy any of them today.

When you become more experienced, buy a better camera.

既然用 EP-1 都可以買２支leica鏡黎用，尤其果支 50/F1.0，可見樓主對 PQ 係有要求既人。

買 M9 啦，２支鏡都可以用得番，唔使轉mount。 M9 比D3X 方便，操控上兩者好唔同，feel 都唔同。

通常自家廠對自家鏡既發揮，往往都好ｄ既～～～

D3X　係現時 nikon最頂級既機種，但樓主往後買鏡亦會以原廠為先，小弟愚昧，未見有那些 nikon 鏡能超越 leica 鏡，那麼倒不如以鏡行先，買 leica吧～～～

No need consider money only desire then you buy both and you can enjoy different professional feeling.

of course stay at M9, if you have $$$.
plus u already have lens.
Price of nikon camera will drop from time to time, in 2 yrs time, 2nd hand D3x may cost ......i think HK$ 30-35k, if there is a D4
price of digital camera always drop except Lecia.......
