Canon 350D + EFS-17-85mm IS USM, it is lighter. Functions are very easy to handle. (D50 is easy to handle too) . Remember to ask for 1GB free CF card (if they have that offer)

If your budget is concerned, then buy D50, it's cheaper. Many people said D50 is also a nice entry level DSLR.

$5500 , not enough to buy 350D (even kit set).The cheapest already needs $5800(with 1GB , screen protector ,etc).

in your situation , buy D50 is more easier , kit set only $5000 (1GB SD,機袋,腳架) in Mong Kok 鐳射.some accessories are also needed like filters and screen protector , around $200 for those things.
