Hello
I'm going to Hong Kong for holidays soon
can anyone suggest some good camera stores names in HK?
affordable, and reliable
I don't really want to buy at shops where they import stock from overseas, like a black market, I think they're called "water stock" in Cantonese?

Where are you come from ? For easy to go and buy cameera , Try * Broadway shop * Easy to find in Mongkok , but you must check the price first .

nah, just looking for memory cards
might as well just shop around
and take a "real" packaging with me to compare against the one's I'll buy, incase I get ripped off and bought a fake one...
anyway, andy good camera stores in Hong Kong Island?

If you are just looking for memory cards, just try those little stores which sell computer accessories instead of camera shops, the latter ask for more. This is not a matter of good or bad, this is price discrimination.
In case you are visiting Wanchai, go to the Wanchai Computer Centre next to the Wanchai MTR Station.

我對富士維修部十分不滿.請各位師姐師兄評評,我的要求是否過份:我有一部富士傻瓜并附贈的富士XD記憶卡,行貨.出機半年,保養期中.那卡壞了,不能格式化.我請了數小時假,去富士維修部,師傅亦證實這是記憶卡出了問題,不關相機事.我滿以為好似老友的遭遇一樣,換一張卡了事.老友買佳能,CF卡壞了,CF卡保養部即時換了一張給他,也不拖泥帶水.但富士維修部則不是這樣做,他們要把我的XD卡留下,等他們研究清楚才通知我.我問接待小姐:記憶卡都有得修理?她木無表情地重複:公司要這樣做!我覺得這緃不是故意玩弄消費者,也絕對是漠視消費者的權益.我當時即下了決心:以後永不購買富士產品!各位想想,現時一張記憶卡只值二百餘元,若因去維修多次而需請假和付出車馬費,會否有"妹仔大過主人婆"的感覺?事實上,上月此卡已開始間歇性地出現"病徵",也因此而去過一次維修部,衰在我自己格式化之後一時之間又不見有問題,故没放下檢查.如是一部相機壞了,放下維修,當然没意見,因為相機貴,也可修理.但這只是一張記憶卡,維修部又明知没本事修理,為何尚要我跑多次,還要有一段日子没卡用?我亦不要求一定要換新的,用得而不常壞,二三手也可以.不能說''買多張新的一樣啦'',那是原則問題.因何要賣質量差的給我而要我另買多一張作後補?留下記憶卡作研究,是否懷疑顧客故意把該卡短路而整蠱富士,還是令顧客"器材壞了都不要來"?遭此待遇,和買水貨有何分別?在此我亦提醒正在考慮應否買富士產品的朋友,要有思想準備.祈求該器材不要壞.那維修部交通也不甚方便,18時收工.
