Dear all, I am a new guy and is seeking to buy a camera.

I have a friend who give me an offer of HKD5,000 for the below:

1) EOS 350D body
2) Cannon Ultrasonic EFS 17-85mm (image stabilizer)

I am wondering if this is a good deal or I should go buy another set outside. The condition seems to be new.

In addiiton, any comments on the lens, will it be somthing that would be worth keeping for a while (even when I have become more advanced)
